Blues scale
The Blues Scale is derived from the Minor Pentatonic scale with the addition of a diminished 5th; which in the key A minor, would be E♭. This additional "blues" note gives the scale a distinctly bluesy sound and thus has been used as the basis of the majority of rock solos.
