Whole Tone Scale
The Whole Tone Scale is a six note scale where the notes are all separated by a whole tone. As well as appearing in classical music, the whole tone scale used predominantly in modern jazz. As all the notes are separated by equal tonal distance, no particular note of the scale stands out, and as such the scale has no strong tonal centre.
